Well there were certainly plenty of people in Fremantle to welcome and view the QM II when it called at Fremantle yesterday.
Unfortunately I got that dates mixed up and only found out that she was docking at 6.30 AM when I read the paper so it was just too late to get some shots of her coming through the heads. Before we finally left we heard on the news that parking was difficult and traffic was heavy so we decided to take the train. Well that was packed too!
The ship is certainly impressive and dominated Fremantle and the Harbour. The passenger terminal was dwarfed by the QM2.
Also docked was the Athena behind the QM2, and it looked like a tug boat, its funnel hardly visible above the passenger terminal. Still it is a big "boat" too, as they say size is "relative."
