COMPUTER INSTRUCTOR
JAMES WESTMORELAND
James Westmoreland was born and raised in Indianapolis, Indiana. Born April 21, 1972, James is the younger of two children. Upon graduating high school, he attended Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana, where he majored in Computer Technology with an emphasis on database management. After college, James enlisted in the United States Navy. He served aboard the USS Donald Cook (DDG 75), as an Electronic Warfare Technician where he was responsible for technical analysis of radar signals in support of technical reports used by national security agencies. He spent his remaining years as an instructor at Naval Technical Training Center Cory Station in Pensacola, Florida, where he taught students the fundamentals of computers and electronics. During his enlistment James received the National Defense Medal for his service in Desert Storm. He also received his Good Conduct Medal, and was honorably discharged.
BRIDGE LECTURER
SARDARSINH GOHEL
Sar Gohel is an avid bridge player who lives in Troy, Michigan. He also directs bridge games on cruise ships. He is an officer and director of the Ford Bridge Club located at Ford World Headquarter in Dearborn, Michigan. Additionally, he directs bridge at the Dearborn Community Center on Mondays and Fridays. As a player, Sar has finished first in his district for the Grand National Team and North American Pairs three times. He has won several regional events and finished second in national event. He became a Life Master in 1993. His first duplicate bridge exposure was at the Student Union while studying engineering at the University of Wisconsin in Madison, Wisconsin. He loves to teach bridge to total beginners and novices including his 92-year-old father. He enjoys social bridge with his family and friends. He lives by the motto as stated by a world champion tennis player, No matter where I go, I can always make new friends at the bridge table.
ENRICHMENT LECTURER
MR. DONALD CAMPBELL
Don Campbell was born and raised in Binghamton, New York. He graduated from the United States Coast Guard Academy and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering and was commissioned an Ensign. He retired from the Coast Guard with the rank of Commander and had assignments including Command at Sea and Command Ashore. Following his Coast Guard career, Campbell entered a career in Program Management within Aerospace and Defense both as a full time employee and as a consultant. As such he worked on such diverse programs as the B-2 Stealth Bomber, F/A- 18 Hornet Fighter, Mars Pathfinder, and many more. In addition, Mr. Campbell was program manager for major computer system projects covering child support and electronic toll collection, among others. He became interested in the sea at a very early age and was able to fulfill his dreams through his Coast Guard career. Well read and with a significant grounding in maritime lore, his light and often humorous treatment of the subjects related to Maritime History will enthrall and enlighten every audience. In his presentations Commander Campbell will cover the history of ships and the sea with particular focus on the evolution of cruising aboard luxury liners from the early days of sail to the present and even take a trip into the future of travel in the 21st Century and beyond. Don and his wife, who write under the pen name Anne Glenn, are writing an exciting new murder mystery novel, "The Noah Gene".

DOUGLAS STURKEY
Dr Douglas Sturkey was formerly a member of the Australian diplomatic service, holding senior appointments as Deputy Permanent Representative to the United Nations, NY; Ambassador to Saudi Arabia; and the Foreign Minister's principal adviser on relations with the countries of South East Asia. He then served as chief executive officer to the Governor-General of Australia before entering the Australian National University at Canberra.
